**Environmental Service Assistant** **Multiple Full time and Part Time Positions available** **About the Role** - The Patient Service Assistant is responsible in providing a safe, clean Ward/Unit environment in accordance with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health regulations. - Under direction and supervision, you will provide effective support contributing to the operational management of the hospital. - You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service and be required to assist in stock maintenance and control. Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to. - Perform all **waste management** tasks, decontaminate all bins, and securely manage the **Clinical Waste**: - Perform all cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds and cleaning of Wards and equipment - Perform all "Management of Patient" movements within the hospital. - Support the organisations environmental goals in performance of all duties. - Assisting nursing staff with lifting/positioning patients (as required) and bed making. - Identifies risks and hazards and reports promptly to ensure that safety measures are maintained. - Flexibility to work across a seven-day **rotating roster** is essential for this role. - Perform other adhoc duties as required and requested by management such as assist in-house laundry **About You** - To succeed in this role, you will be self-motivated and work effectively under the direction of the Environmental Services Team Leader. - You will demonstrate a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others, and a commitment to professional practice. - Experience in a Hospitality/ Healthcare Cleaning and use of correct waste management streams - High level of knowledge and understanding of material data safety sheets. - Commitment to exceed customer satisfaction. - Sound time management, effective communication, and interpersonal skills. - High level of personal presentation and adhering to uniform policy. - Knowledge and understanding of Manual Handling principles, Occupational Safety and Health practices, Infection Control and Housekeeping Protocols, including usage of cleaning equipment. - Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required. **Remuneration** Will be based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. **About the Organisation** Joondalup Health Campus is the largest health care facility in Perth’s northern suburbs, providing 24-hour acute care from an integrated public and private campus.
