**We are MYOB**
- MYOB is the #originalstartup. Our roots are in finance and accounting software, but today we’re so much more We’re building a business management platform to help more businesses in Australia & New Zealand Start, Survive & Succeed. Our team is continually transforming, inventing and disrupting conventions. We don’t want you to simply ‘fit’ into our already established culture, we want you to add to it, and make it even better This is MYOB.

**The opportunity**:

- Working alongside other content designers, content specialists and UX writers, you'll play a key role in managing the migration and transformation of content as we re-platform and establish a new company-wide content ecosystem.

As a Content Designer, we'll rely on you for your thinking, not just your writing. You’ll be a part of an engaged content community across multiple teams dedicated to promoting the sharing of best-in-class ideas, peer reviews, and thought leadership.

You’ll be responsible for helping to shape, deliver and manage digital content as part of the migration project, as well as smaller discreet projects and streams of work across a portfolio of products.

You’ll work with a range of internal partners - including marketers, product managers, product designers, developers and SEO/UX specialists - as part of a thriving, energetic team of people who are passionate about content.

This is a terrific opportunity to join a team that is in a growth phase and be part of shaping the future of content at MYOB.

**A bit about the role**:

- As a Content Designer in our team, you’ll be involved in everything from building out content strategy to delivering exceptional UI copy - your work will have incredible impact across touchpoints in the customer experience. This role will see you:

- Writing digital content that supports the direction and priorities of the business e.g. self-serve, sales, educational, and product-focused content
- Presenting your work for critique to other content designers and your teammates
- Using content design principles and strategy to ensure content aligns with both user goals and business objectives
- Helping to create a content-first approach amongst the project team, and across the organisation more broadly
- Using research and analysis to inform content production and presentation
- Managing end to end creation, editing and reviewing copy to a high level of accuracy and consistency by having an exceptional eye for detail
- Operating within cross-functional project teams to optimally deliver to agreed timeframes and resourcing

**A bit about you**:

- You’re a designer who works with words. You use your gift for language to design intuitive, compelling digital experiences that help users accomplish their goals. You’re no stranger to content strategy, understanding how to take product and brand narratives and express them across multiple platforms and touch points (using cohesive language and a unified voice, of course).

You excel at solving user experience problems through both information architecture and with language. You like to make the complicated simple, provide clarity out of the messiness - and you have a gift for making microcopy sound clear and human.

An effective presenter and negotiator, you can communicate your work persuasively, helping varied audiences understand and believe in your decisions. You’re able to walk others through recommendations and outputs collaboratively and efficiently.

You’re comfortable taking direction, working independently, building positive relationships and translating complex information into simple and engaging content.

**You bring**:

- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience writing and editing omnichannel content, including translating jargon-heavy and complex information into simple, usable language
- Great attention to detail, including an ability to check content for style, sense and SEO optimisation
- Experience using design thinking and design processes (critique, user journeys, personas) to improve or validate your work
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, Jira and Confluence
- Experience working closely with digital and agile teams
- A data-driven approach to problem solving with experience using quantitative and qualitative data to create, analyse and optimise content
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust communication style by audience
- The ability to advocate for content design and help others understand its value
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and basic HTML

**Bonus points if you also have**:

- Experience working on a technology transformation project (content migration project experience gets double bonus points)
- Experience with DevOps
- Consumer and enterprise content experience

**Our Culture & Benefits**
- Our values have stood the test of time. If you want to work and collaborate where opinions are
