We are actively seeking an experienced
**Supplier Manager** to join our Procurement team at Kmart National Office in Mulgrave. In this role you will lead the development of strategies and initiatives that will enhance contract management practices by developing and implementing performance management processes.

You will join a dynamic team who are excited about Kmart’s amazing growth journey and the key role they play in the Supplier management world.

**What you’ll be doing**

As a Supplier Manager working for Kmart, you will:

- Understand category specifications and ensure risk, compliance and other legal aspects in agreements are appropriate and maintained.
- Managing outward communication to suppliers to facilitate understanding and awareness of organisational strategic direction, changes, and challenges
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders to resolve any issues or disputes that arise with suppliers.
- You will build and manager relationships with a portfolio of select service categories, ensuring they meet or exceed their contractual obligations.
- Optimise stakeholder engagement to define mutually beneficial interests and manage expectations to achieve defined goals
- Work collaboratively with other Procurement functions across Kmart Group (Kmart & Target) & the wider Wesfarmers Group or external providers where appropriate

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supplier Management and must have an engineering or procurement background.
- Have experience in managing multiple procurement projects
- Have exposure to strategy development and implementation
- Have prior experience in Contract, Relationship, Stakeholder and Performance Management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple categories /demands and have challenging conversations
- Flexibility and willingness to travel (both to Target Corporate office in William’s Landing, interstate and New Zealand when required)
