**The Opportunity**

This is a 12 month maximum term contract opportunity.

The Product Manager, Cloud oversees the development and lifecycle of products within an allocated product portfolio. In this role, you will define the vision and strategy, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improves features based on user feedback and market trends. Managed services are a fundamental pillar of what we do, therefore, it is the Product Manager’s responsibility to ensure the most valuable and effective products are presented to customers whilst maximising efficiency and profitability for Macquarie Cloud Services.

**What you'll be doing**:
- Upstreaming strategic thinking, the incorporation of customer insight, competitor analysis, and vendor relationships culminating in a product strategy and roadmap.
- Following a new product introduction process that ensures the commercial viability, best practice design, delivery, and deployment of products through to launch.
- Communicating product strategy and positioning to internal and external audiences.
- Owning the lifecycle of assigned products and strategic vendor/supplier relationships required to fulfil the demands of products and services in their product portfolio.
- Seeking the best business and commercial outcomes through competitive negotiation and contract renewals, including maintaining the pricebook and associated product catalogue.
- Supporting non-standard deal review to drive new business success.

**Your ideal skills & experience**:
- A minimum 5 - 7 years' experience in product management, managed hosting/private cloud, IaaS, or data centre technologies in any technical role.
- A minimum 5 years' experience in taking products to market-defining, business casing, designing, and executing a product vision.
- Experience and knowledge of two or more of the following product portfolios in the context of a Private Cloud.
- Engineering experience is a major benefit.
- Compute Product Manager (Compute: Physical and virtualised; Disaster Recovery and replication: at a compute/software layer)
- Storage and Backup Product Manager (Core: Block, file and object storage including SAN; Backup: VM, Server and site to site; Disaster Recovery and replication: at a storage layer)
- Network, Security and Colocation Product Manager (Network: internet, connectivity, load balancing, observability, DNS; High availability: multi-path connectivity; Security: perimeter firewalls, malware protection, VPN, HIDS/HIPS, DDoS)
- Ability to develop commercial models and business cases to take products to market, thinking through revenue, profitability, value creation, and positioning.
- Self-driver with high-level of ownership, accountability, and persistence.
- Team player, able to motivate and manage cross-functional virtual teams.
