**Job Summary**:
Powerlink is leading Queensland’s transition to a renewable energy future through the development of the state’s electricity ‘supergrid’ and connecting Queenslanders to a world-class energy future.

As one of our Cultural Heritage Officers, you will be part of a professional team responsible for ensuring we’re an industry leader in best practice cultural heritage management.

**About the role**:
Working closely with First Nations stakeholders across Queensland your role will include:

- Conducting and facilitating cultural heritage assessments, inspections and surveys as agreed under Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Agreements.
- Ongoing engagement and consultation with Traditional Owners, Technical Advisors and property holders
- Implementing agreed actions under cultural heritage agreements including site identification
- In close collaboration with Traditional Owners and construction personnel, prepare for construction activities to ensure significant areas are actively protected
- Working within our business to ensure continual improvement to our processes, training and project documentation.

**About you**:
Your success in this role will rely on your proven experience providing advice to stakeholders on a diverse range of cultural heritage issues, within the infrastructure construction environment.

Your sound knowledge of cultural heritage legislation and avoidance practices is evident through your past success in completing cultural heritage assessments and implementing heritage avoidance measures on projects.

To be successful in this role you:

- Have experience in collaborating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Owners, their advisors and representatives
- Are degree qualified in archaeology, anthropology or cultural heritage management
- Have strong interpersonal, report writing and research skills,
- Are detail minded and have a clear interest in other people and cultures.
