The Role*
Reporting to the Site Manufacturing Manager, the purpose of this position is to manage resource efficiency and environmental risks at our Berkeley Vale site, ensuring all activities are carried out in an environmentally competent and safe manner.

This role manages site solid waste, energy and water resources. It identifies, encourages and implements environmental continuous improvement opportunities and engages and collaborates with interdepartmental stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

Manage site solid waste, energy and water resources.
- Identify, encourage and implement environmental continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage and collaborate with interdepartmental stakeholders to improve environmental performance and culture.
- Maintain the site’s environmental management plan and related processes and procedures in accordance with corporate standards, government regulation and site budgets.
- Investigate environmental complaints and coordinate environmental incident response.
- Manage projects and work with other project teams to improve resource productivity and ensure ongoing compliance.

About You*

Suitable sciences based tertiary qualifications
- Experience in environmental management systems implementation and leadership.
- Experience delivering objectives through others within financial constraints.
- Working knowledge of environmental standards, regulations, and principles.
- Working knowledge of LEAN, HACCP and WHS management systems.
- Continuous improvement mindset and be a team driven performer.
