As a leading **SHEQ Professional** for our Telco sector, you will work with the **SKAO** project team to foster an integrated approach to deliver on legal, contractual, and business **SHEQ** requirements. This is a **Fixed Term contract** working a** 2:1 roster**, **fly in fly out** of Perth to Boolardy Station, 700km North of Perth.
- The **Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO)** project is an international effort supported by 16 countries to build the world’s largest radio telescopes, led by the **SKAO**.

**Ventia** has been awarded a significant part of the contract and is leveraging our telecommunications capabilities for this exciting project.
- Our scope includes the provision of power and fibre networks, and the design and commission of a **Central Processing Facility (CPF)** and **Remote Processing Facilities (RPF)** at the Australian site.

**What you will be doing**:

- Reporting to the SHEQ Business Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the Ventia SHEQ Strategy at the site level
- You will be leading, communicating and providing strategic SHEQ advice and support to the Project Director, Operations Managers, SHEQ team and subcontractors
- Leading a team of SHEQ professionals on site to ensure site safety performance and compliance measures are in place
- Using systems and processes to enable an integrated approach to SHEQ management so we continue to deliver on our legal, contractual and business requirements
- Delivering on our environmental commitment towards a Healthy Planet

**About you**:

- Experience leading a SHEQ team within a high-risk construction setting
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement SHEQ strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and enable continuous improvement
- Ability to implement, track and maintain SHEQ objectives and targets
- Experience leading ICAM investigations
- Operational experience in high-risk environments
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental management
- Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO standards
