**About the role**
An open opportunity for an enthusiastic Payroll/AP Officer to join a busy, yet stable team in Macquarie Park. This business is a market leader in their industry. The role is suited to someone who is passionate about Payroll and has some experience in the Accounts Payable space.
**The Responsibilities**:
- Support the delivery of payroll activities including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG and Workers Compensation.
- Liaising with Practice Managers to obtain timely approval on locum invoices.
- Working with our Accounts Payable and Payroll teams to coordinate and ensure that locum invoices are paid on time, and superannuation payments included in the monthly runs.
- Calculate and pay superannuation
- Ensure all relevant awards are adhered to.
- Chase approvals from Manager when needed.
- Communicate effectively with all levels in the business including practice managers.
- Administer employee payroll and records, including engagement
- Other ad-hoc payroll duties.
**The successful applicant will have**
- Prior experience in processing payroll with a good knowledge of independent contractor arrangements which be highly advantageous.
- Attention to detail, committed and want to be involved in process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills
