We are excited to offer a new opportunity to join our Recycling business in SA. As the Operations Manager, based at our Dry Creek site, you will coordinate, plan and manage our operations and logistics across our SA site and depots.

This role will be responsible for leading and delivering our safety values and processes to customers, staff and contractors by communicating and driving the execution of the Recycling Safety and Operational Plan.

Your role will also encompass implementing strategic goals, objectives and KPIs and general support to the Recycling Team in South Australia and ensure we deliver excellent customer service to customers and suppliers.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Resolving important customer complaints and service problems
- Sourcing and engaging contractor services required to provide on time and in full collection services
- Managing sourcing, servicing and repairs of equipment provided to customers and suppliers
- Planning, scheduling and managing inventory flow to achieve required business outcomes
- Ensuring supply chain logistics and processing is timely, cost effective and reliable
- Focus on continuous improvement methodologies to drive business efficiencies

Specifically, for this role, we expect you will have;
- Transport, Logistics and/ or Depot experience (preferably in recycling, waste management or other service type environment)
- Technical / Engineering experience highly desired but not essential.
- Experience in managing or leading a team, either a directly or indirectly
- Experience in developing relationships at multiple levels of an organisation
- Previous experience and active involvement in a change to the strategic direction of a business
- Ability to build and sustain key strategic business relationships
- Proven conflict resolution and problem-solving ability
