**About the Role**:
Currently we have two vacancies in the Water Supply Operations Team. One of the vacancies is within the Silvan Operations Team, based at Silvan Reservoir and the second vacancy is in the Northern Operations Team, initially based in the Yarra Valley. Both these roles will report into the Local Team Lead Operator.. As the Water Supply Operator you will be responsible for managing day-to-day and emergency operations of Melbourne Water’s water supply assets. These assets include; storage and service reservoirs, treatment plants, pumping stations and transfer mains. This involves practical hands-on operational duties, and the use of several IT systems including remote monitoring & system control.

**About you**:

- Certificate III or higher in Water/Wastewater Industry Operations is highly desirable
- Experience with water/wastewater treatment processes
- Ability to take accurate numerical readings and measurements.
- Ability to write clear incident reports and complete log sheets.
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities
- Valid Victorian Drivers license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Ability to pass both a criminal record check and AusCheck
