Spurrell Foraging Pty Ltd sustainably grows and wild forages edible flowers, leaves and native botanicals in Silvan on the fringe of Victoria's Yarra Valley. We are committed to the supply of high-quality produce to restaurants, cafes, bars and distillers around Victoria.

This role is a part-time, permanent position responsible for the successful operation of Spurrell Foraging’s 18-acre farm. This role is a hands-on, manual role requiring effective leadership of the farm hand team and a commitment to sustainable farm practices. The Farm Manager is responsible for the daily management of Spurrell Foraging’s fresh edible flower and leaf production, working with the seasonal calendar.

Given the uniqueness and vision of the Spurrell Foraging brand, this role relies on a passion for growing and the capability and enthusiasm to consistently produce and improve all aspects of growing high-quality produce.

**Skill and responsibilities**:

- Practical and technical farming experience
- Machinery operation & maintenance experience
- Computer skills
- Experience with sustainable farming
- Positive and energetic working approach
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Pragmatic and result focused attitude
- Ability to work to direction & to schedule, yet have the initiative this role requires
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to lead small casual team effectively (people management skills, good communication skills)
- Ability to work solo and autonomously, as well as be a valuable member of a small team

**Desired qualifications and experience**:

- Relevant work experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to operate farm machinery
- Current drivers licence
