**About the role**:
We’re looking for an **Inventory Manager** to join our brand-new Automated Distribution Centre
This is an incredible opportunity to be involved in the commissioning of our second Automated Distribution Centre (ADC) which will use world-class technology to modernise our Supply Chain. Epic in scale and design, our new facility represents the future of logistics.
Located in Kemps Creek New South Wales, you’ll utilise state of the art facilities to deliver outstanding service level fulfilment to our stores. Critical to the site’s success are our people who’ll enable day to day operations.
As the SME in inventory management onsite, your focus will be on maintaining operational excellence in inventory, while always keeping safety and compliance front of mind. You’ll combine your leadership and passion to drive a culture of operational excellence within the site.
**About you and your skills**:
As Inventory Manager for our new ADC, you’ll be leading our inventory management function onsite. You’ll be responsible for ensuring stock integrity within the facility is maintained and quality standards are established, implemented and regularly monitored. You will play integral role in ensuring optimal stock on hand levels and product allocation into sub systems to maximise outbound efficiency.
You’ll also:
- Closely monitor supplier compliance and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on minimising inbound nonconformities
- Provide leadership support, technical expertise and direction to ADC team members in all aspects of inventory management.
- Drive Coles national compliance and inventory policies across the facility and manage key inventory functions.
- Own operational excellence and continuous improvement in inventory space.
- Audit transactions, investigate and resolve discrepancies associated with the handling and control of materials in support of site operation
- Drive improvements in quality control processes to reduce pick error rates
We’re looking for an experienced Inventory Manager that can handle competing workloads in a fast-paced environment in addition to:
- Experience in fast paced in logistics, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods or retail environments.
- Previous Inventory manager experience within an automated distribution centre or customer fulfilment centre.
- Extensive experience in Warehouse Management Systems and improving Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA)
- Demonstrated strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Possessing strong knowledge of lean, six sigma processing principles.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and understanding of statistical process control
- Experience in pallet control and sound understanding of pallet management systems
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management or similar desirable
