**About the Role**

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimising IT operations and driving innovation?

Santos is seeking a talented Global IS Operations Manager to lead our dynamic IT team and ensure our systems and processes are running smoothly and efficiently. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of delivering Santos’ global information systems operational services portfolio. The position is responsible for evolving and delivering a strategy focused on an ‘evergreen’ technology landscape on a 2-3 year roadmap, and for maintaining accurate forecasting and management of OPEX and CAPEX budgets.

Key accountabilities include:

- Partner with relevant Santos business areas and IS Service Towers to ensure IS is exceeding their business requirements and to ensure their IS Services are evolving as business requirements and technology platforms evolve.
- Own key IS Service contracts with key Infrastructure Service Providers and Application Suppliers, ensuring their services are secure and reliable whilst exercising contractual clauses to ensure key KPIs (e.g. Critical Service Levels, Key Measures) are upheld.
- Act as the escalation point between Business IT and 3rd party vendors provided for any deterioration in service levels.
- Establish effective governance and management of the services within his/her portfolio and delivers frequent status reporting of service delivery
- Manage approximately $15m of the total $45m OPEX budget and approximately $4m of the total $12m CAPEX budget
- Accountable for the delivery of BAU technology operational Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) within agreed performance metrics
- Ensure the ‘on premise’ IS Infrastructure is maintained effectively, whether on Santos premise or in co-lo data centre. This includes server, network, end user and field telecommunications
- Manage and ensure delivery of End User Computing services via internal staff and/or third-party delivery.
- Maintain VIP support presence with rapid response and proactive support as required.
- Work with managed service provider to maintain and optimise our infrastructure delivery.

**About You**
- Extensive experience leading large technology operations team.
- Experience in standardising operational practices for sites across a global presence for efficiencies at scale.
- Senior experience in IT service management and providing governance via ITIL principals.
- Extensive contract and supplier management experience, achieving successful outcomes for Santos.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing the delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven experience in successfully managing business change

Ideally, you are a Degree Qualified or Equivalent Tertiary and relevant experience in a related IS/IT technical area.
