Environmental Manager

**About the role**
- Initiate and drive best practice Environmental initiatives through managing strategic scope, compliance and performance strategies
- Leading and managing a team of environmental professionals on project
- Provide up to date intelligence (as a result of legislative changes), analysis, expert advice and recommendations to SMT and Key Stakeholders. Monitor changes to local and international environment policies.
- Design and implement strategies to reduce environmental incidents/breaches
- Providing advice to our construction and subcontractor teams in the areas of environmental management to deliver outstanding environmental outcomes
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with the construction team, the Independent Environmental Monitor and the Client Environmental representatives
- Lead internal audits against EMS
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the Environmental Management Plans and associated documents

**About You**
- Bachelor’s Degrees in environmental engineering, Science, Sustainability or other associated disciplines
- Equivalent experience within a similar role in the Civil Construction industry
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast paced project environment and deliver on deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to develop and carry out varied environmental monitoring regimes in compliance with relevant standards
- Advanced Erosion and Sediment Control or equivalent experience
- Strong ability to create and maintain key client and stakeholder relationships
- Focus and commitment to a zero harm environment
- Excellent leadership skills including project management skills, communication skills at all levels, horizontal and vertical negotiating skills and networking skills.
- Australian driver’s license.
