Disability Connect Victoria (DCV) is a registered service provider with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission, TAC, and WorkSafe. They have in excess of 150 employees across Eastern Victoria, with their head office based in Warragul (West Gippsland), 1 hour from Melbourne.

About your new role

As a critical member of the Executive Team, the HR Manager provides reports to the Chief Operations Officer and provides high-quality support for all departments and business units across the business.

This is a varied role, however the key functions are:

- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives which align with the business strategy
- Manage recruitment team and monitor, coordinate, and support recruitment processes
- Together with line management, manage and resolve employee issues, grievances, and disputes.
- Support and encourage employee professional development
- Provide managers and team leaders with HR support, guidance, advice and coaching
- Lead the company performance management process.
- Lead and manage HR functions, including employee relations, award interpretation, training & development, disciplinary processes, performance management and work health and safety
- Manage WorkCover claims and return to work (RTW) processes
- Support organisational Work Health & Safety (WHS)

Also:

- Your Location/s: This role will be primarily based at the DCV office in Warragul, however some travel will be required. Daily attendance at the Warragul office will be required (unless you are travelling to an alternative DCV location), however if you need to start or finish the day from home from time to time, this can be negotiated.

About You

You are a true all-rounder and experienced HR Manager, who truly loves the people facing role of HR. You are the guidance and support the business needs in an area that can be challenging and sometimes a little overwhelming.

The specific experience you need:

- History of experience in a human resource advisory or generalist position, additional experience in HR Management will be highly regarded
- Working knowledge and experience in ER and IR legislation and HR best practices
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation (FairWork, NES, Awards, Agreements, EEO etc.)Other important areas:

- You have a degree in Human Resources, or a similar qualification
- Ability to prepare comprehensive documentation and reports
- Excellent verbal communication skills & interpersonal skills
- Polished written communication & presentation skills
- Current National Police Check
- Current or be able to obtain a Working with Children’s check
- Current or be able to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening
- Drivers Licence
- WHS experience and WHC Committee duties is highly desirable
