Your opportunity

As a member of my team, as our Talent & Early Careers Lead, you’ll be responsible for the design, delivery and implementation of fit-for-purpose talent management and early careers solutions to help shape and drive a high-performance culture and workforce at QinetiQ Australia. Specifically you will have accountability for a range of projects and initiatives including the early careers and graduate programs, our mentoring/coaching framework and talent management and succession planning frameworks and processes.

Whilst hybrid and remote working is embraced, this role will be based out of Melbourne.

The specifics

**You’ll make an impact as you**:
Lead and continually improve our early career programs

Contribute to the development and support of the external engagement plan for engagement with external educational institutions and various defence and engineering associations to support communities we are involved with and inspire the next generation of STEM talent

Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to develop sourcing strategies by partnering with key education and university institutions

Manage the pre-boarding and on-boarding of graduates and design and manage early careers event and training calendars

Manage the full Talent Management Review processes (9 box, calibration and succession planning) and associated actions arising from this review

Manage the coaching and mentoring framework and coordinate activity as required

**As our ideal applicant, you’ll present with**:
Working knowledge of people strategies including talent management processes and principals and succession planning

Experience in the delivery of early careers frameworks/programs

Strong consulting, presentation and coaching skills, with ability to influence senior leaders to achieve program outcomes

Fabulous organisational skills and the ability to manage and shift priorities as required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Whilst not essential, experience using SuccessFactors will be highly regarded as will experience in the delivery of coaching and mentoring frameworks.

Due to the nature of our work, you'll need to be an Australian citizen and eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
