**About the Role...**
Each year the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) administers Sydney Royal Competitions with a view to improving quality of livestock, agricultural produce, fine food and wine products in Australia.
You will be responsible for the administration, planning, coordination and execution of the Poultry & Pigeon Competition and Events which is held annually at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
- The planning and delivery of competitions and events in a timely & efficient manner
- Working with an established Committee, preparing agendas, attending meetings and taking minutes and actioning items resulting from meetings
- Coordination of competition judging timetables, schedules, officials documentation,
- Management of correspondence and records
- building and maintaining relationships with industry partners, stakeholders and exhibitors

**About you**
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in office administration or similar role
- Previous experience in event coordination and/or project management
- Demonstrated experience planning activities and projects to a tight deadline
- Previous experience working to and managing budgets
- Ability to manage and address clients (internal and external) concerns in an appropriate and timely manner
- Experience solving complex problems
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Proven history of being punctual & reliable
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and superior customer service skills
- Be energetic and committed
- Be able to work weekdays, weekends and late nights as required
- Have a positive “can do” attitude
- Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia

We manage the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry, and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff and an indispensable pool of casual staff who work on the Easter Show, and other Sydney Showground events.
