DEA is recruiting a NDIS Policy Manager to join our small but highly effective team. This role will have significant scope and autonomy to grow our NDIS arm, while taking responsibility for our policy and advocacy in that space. There is a huge opportunity to provide a stronger voice for employment within NDIS, and for better integration between NDIS and DES systems. You will take on a wide variety of tasks including formulating policy and writing submission, responding to government initiatives and contributing to co-design projects, and running events/conferences. This will involve working closely with government departments and agencies, Disability Representative Organisations, employer groups, and disability service providers (including our members) to drive evidence-based continuous improvement and support more NDIS participants to access inclusive employment.

**Attributes**
- Strong experience in and knowledge of the NDIS
- Demonstrated commitment to the purpose of DEA i.e. open employment for people with disability
- Relationships with key stakeholders, including NDIA and service providers
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
- Can operate independently, with limited supervision
- Experience in policy development
- Ability to analyse data and drive evidence-based strategies
- (preferably) Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Disability Studies, or related field

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
