**Position Overview**

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our fleet. This pivotal role is responsible for optimizing fleet performance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and leading a dedicated team of drivers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, routing, and service delivery to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
- Monitor and coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure safety compliance and optimal performance.
- Communicate with clients to determine transportation requirements, offer advice on vehicle types, purchase or hire rates, and fulfill obligations. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues related to fleet services.
- Plan and implement transportation schedules, including collection, delivery, and unloading of goods, ensuring quality is maintained.
- Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards for fleet activities.
- Track fleet performance metrics, establish KPIs, and drive continuous operational improvements to maintain high service quality.
- Supervise and lead a team of drivers, providing training and guidance to ensure compliance with legal requirements, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective purchasing, maintenance contracts, and fuel procurement. Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain business records, prepare operational reports, and conduct performance assessments to support informed decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Transport, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- In-depth understanding of compliance regulations and workplace safety, including managing driver certifications and vehicle maintenance records.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach to operational performance improvements.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
