**Use your leadership skills to help Victoria build climate resilience**

The position leads the Climate Science and Impacts Team in a supportive and high performing division within DEECA. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team that provides advice on climate change science, data and communications and works with partners to inform science-based decision-making on climate change across Victoria.

To be successful in this position you will have proven ability to lead a team, think critically, build support and achieve outcomes. You will have a flexible and responsive attitude to your work.

**Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- High level knowledge, skills and experience with policy analysis and advice is desirable
- Experience undertaking engagement with stakeholders across government, industry and the community on complex policy issues is desirable
- A well-developed understanding of Victorian Government policy processes is desirable
- Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of climate science, data and science communications is highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field are mandatory, and a postgraduate qualification is desirable.

**This is a fixed term position available until 30 September 2025. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.**
