Animal Carer for Inhouse Stays

We are looking for mature, trustworthy, reliable adults to assist with our inhome pet care services. This role would suit people who are reasonably flexible, mature animal loving university students, animal loving retired people, and animal lovers looking for extra work.

**You will**:
Stay over night at a dog or cat’s (or bird / rabbit/ chicken) home and provide a caring pet care service, including feeding, walking, cleaning up and medicating where needed. You will also bring in mail, put out weekly rubbish and treat the home in which you stay as though it were your own. Assignments can last from one night to 4 weeks.

Weekdays, you will bring the dog to day care (Williamstown) and collect in the afternoon or evening.

Weekends you will walk the dog as per their energy requirements.

(Please note there is also situations where we are looking for carers to provide a service in their own home. The home must be completely animal proof - eg medications / food inaccessible and back and front yard escape proof)

**Prerequisites**:
Provide a police check of no longer than 12 months old

Have an understanding of the health, feeding and exercise requirements of cats and dogs.

Agree to all of our safety policies and procedures

Have a drivers licence and vehicle that you are comfortable driving the dog in

You must be reliable and understand that you are caring for our clients babies whilst they are on holiday

**What you need to know**

Carers get paid per day

Carers do not need to stay home with the pets and can continue their casual, part time or full time role.

Carers need to be home on weekends (or when the dog is not at day care) for reasonable periods of time (e.g not leaving the dog for more than 5 hours)

Applicants can pick and choose their assignments but once assigned must continue to be available for that pet care assignment.
