**Position Descriptor**:
Williamstown Primary School and School-Based Preschool is nestled between the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills, just 15 minutes from Gawler. Our preschool offers a quality play-based program, fostering actively engaged learning. We run one session: Wednesday, Thursday (odd weeks); Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (even weeks). Our unique setting within the primary school allows for strong connections and seamless transitions from home to preschool to school. We share facilities and engage in joint events, ensuring continuity of learning.
Our Commitment: We are dedicated to environmental education, boasting an extensive outdoor learning space with nature play, gardening, animal care, and sand, water, and mud play. Our play is child-led and educator-guided, with a strong emphasis on nurturing positive relationships with children and their families.
- Planning and delivering an engaging play-based curriculum with intentional teaching components.
- Assessing, evaluating, and reporting student progress.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues and participating in professional development.
- Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Reviewing preschool practices/policies in line with the NQS with the Principal (Educational Leader).
What you will bring:

- Commitment to excellent relationship skills with students, staff, and the community.
- Positivity, flexibility, and strong pedagogy in the early years, reflecting the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Knowledge of the NQF and fostering children's emergent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Qualifications in special education or relevant experience in working with and teaching children with autism are desirable.
