UWS (Under Water Systems) Maritime business is the leading provider of integrated mission solutions to surface ships and submarines. It is also a specialist in the upgrade of naval vessels providing systems and platforms integration capabilities. This role sits within one of our Defence co-located in service support team.

**About Your Role: Field Service Technician**

A great opportunity has become available for a **Field Services Technician **to join our Underwater Systems team based on-site in Rockingham Western Australia. This is a pivot that will provide support to the Collins Class Submarines including conducting repairs, maintenance and technical support to sonar systems across the Collins Class fleet based in WA.

You will be required to travel interstate and overseas at short notice to support customers, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and reliably.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- The successful and professional conduct of maintenance and / or repair tasks
- Leading the technical aspects of a maintenance task with mínimal supervision
- Communicating with Supervisors and Maintenance Managers, ensuring task progression and relevant issues are reported
- Develop documents & capture of information within information systems relating to the conduct of maintenance and/or repair activities
- Assisting the Inventory Management team to receipt, packaging and despatch GFE/CFE as required
- Maintain a high level of internal and external customer / stakeholder satisfaction

**About You?**
- Electrical Engineering Cert IV or equivalent
- Experience in repair and maintenance of electronic/electrical equipment and systems
- Strong knowledge of fault diagnosis
- Quality and OHS systems knowledge
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Networking experience (Desirable)
