**About Your Role: Field Service Technician**

In this role, you will perform maintenance and repair operations at Customer site(s) and RAN Platforms (Ships, Submarines and Land-Based Environments) ensuring that the supported equipment runs smoothly and reliably.

The primary responsibilities associated with this position are focussed around the ongoing maintenance and support of Thales equipment fitted to the Collins Class Submarines under the Collins Class Submarine ISS Contract.

**Permanent opportunity and based on-site at Rockingham, WA.**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- The successful and professional conduct of maintenance and / or repair tasks
- Leading the technical aspects of a maintenance task
- Communicating with Supervisors and Maintenance Managers, ensuring task progression and relevant issues are reported
- Develop documents & capture of information within information systems relating to the conduct of maintenance and/or repair activities
- Assisting the Inventory Management team to receipt, packaging and despatch GFE/CFE as required

**About You?**
- Electrical Engineering Cert IV or equivalent or
- Cert IV in Information Technology (networking)
- Experience in fault finding including analysis and documentation of process and results.
- Previous experience working within a Defence or Defence Industry environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Adaptable and flexible to change
- Must have or be eligible for NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
