Principal Underwriter

Location can be in Perth or Queensland

In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment and placement of life insurance risks presented to ClearView and the management of all parties to the risk contract. You'll support our and take ownership of daily tasks in this function that are crucial for delivering effective support to the business in the realms of governance and reporting.

**A day in the life**:

- Assessment of risks
- Conveying terms to advisers and insureds
- Liaison with third parties immediately involved in the risk contract (doctors, accountants, reinsurers)
- Liaison with distribution staff
- Marketing responsibilities -building strong professional partnerships with suppliers / advisers
- Mentoring Underwriters and Tele Interview Consultants

- Distribution
- CMO
- Claims
- New business

**Qualifications Required**
- Diploma of Financial Planning
- Diploma of Life Insurance
- ALUCA qualifications
- Chartered Insurance Institute / Academy of Life Underwriting qualifications
