Cybersecurity Lead, 12 months Fixed Term Contract, Public Sector organisation

This role sits within a public sector with a head office in Melbourne-Glen Waverley. You will work with one of the leading organisations in public sector with an excellent reputation in a highly productive team. The organisation is focused on providing sustainable, efficient and cost-effective services.

**Your new role**

Within this role you will be responsible for strategic management, third party risk management, cybersecurity posture reporting, able to implement the innovative ways of securing the resource of the organisation and prevent security incidents and vulnerabilities. In this new role you need to collaborate with different internal stakeholders to make sure process are in line with industry standards.

**What you'll need to succeed**

As well as in depth understanding of Cybersecurity you will be required to possess the following skills/experience:

- Extensive experience working in security operation and GRC space
- Tertiary qualifications in Cybersecurity or relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Good understanding of Essential 8, ISO27001, NIST, PCIDSS or VPDSS Framework.
- Strong understanding on operating systems, and network fundamentals.
- Strong hands-on experience with vulnerability management, SEIM, NDR, IAM/PAM, End point security solutions, Enterprise firewall products.
- Experience in implementing, assessing cybersecurity controls
- Proven experience in managing teams and work along to identify and manage cybersecurity incident.
- Strong understanding on developing security maturity and security responsibility across the business units
- Experience in perfuming audits, security compliance checks.
