This role reports to the Finance Manager and has the objective to provide accurate and timely processing, controlling, analysis and reporting of accounting transactions. The key outcomes include effective communication with national clinics, timely processing of information, maintaining data integrity and accuracy of accounting records to support an effective accounting function. Prepare reports as required by the Finance Manager, CFO and COO. Ensure accounts satisfy AEA financial policies, internal controls and audit standards. **This is a permanent part-time role with approximately 25hrs/week, ideally across 4-5 shorter days. Hybrid working options available however the initial training period will be in our Springwood office.** *** Please note that our ideal start date for the role would be the end of January 2025 due to team leave and to ensure our new starter has all the support they need. **Key Responsibilities** - Assist with reconciliation of bank accounts and other bank related facilities - Assist with revenue and trade debtor reconciliation between accounting systems and practice management systems - Assist with accounts payable management and reconciliation as required (performing backup duties as needed) - Assist with reconciliation of intercompany loan accounts, and associated administration including intercompany invoice preparation - Liaising with internal stakeholders including management, hospital directors and business development managers in relation to a variety of matters - Liaising external stakeholders such as vendors as required - Working closely with other accounts team members in tackling challenges as they arise - Providing suggestions for improvement as identified - Helping to maintain integrity of systems through diligence in integrity of data input and management - Performing backup duties to other team members and ad hoc duties when required **About You** - 5+ years’ experience in an equivalent position - Extensive general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting skills - Extensive Xero experience (necessary) - Dext experience (necessary) - Strong knowledge of GST with respect to accounts payable processing - Advanced knowledge of Excel - Strong problem solving and analytical skills - Strong attention to detail and effective analysis - Proven ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines - Effective financial document organisation and archiving - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written - Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment - Familiarity with RxWorks (desired but not necessary) *** **Paws & Perks** - Appealing hourly rate $35.75 + Super + 17.5% Annual Leave loading - Family friendly hours - Hybrid working environment (initial training period in office) - Continuing education support to assist with your career growth - The opportunity to transfer across the company to fulfill your further career aspirations - Employee Pet Wellness discounts (treatments and products) - Heavily discounted gym memberships (Fitness Passport) - A fun, collaborate and fully supportive team.
