**The opportunity**:
We have a Permanent Full-time opportunity for a Pharmacy
**Pharmaceuticals Benefit Scheme (PBS)** Technician. We are looking for a team-player to join and collaborate with our positive and dynamic team at the Epic Pharmacy Northern Beaches.

This is a fantastic opportunity to introduce yourself to the hospital pharmacy environment. In this role you will be assisting with the full cycle of prescription management. We are seeking an administrative guru with an eye for detail who can work autonomously with a high degree of structure. Days and times are flexible in this role as the pharmacy operates extended hours.

**In this role, you’ll**:

- Prepare and submit PBS claims to Medicare Australia on a regular basis in accordance with PBS Regulations
- Manage all areas relating to the PBS pharmacy claim including for our retail, hospital and oncology services
- Manage processes that result in accurate billing of medications to hospital patients
- Manage owing prescriptions, including obtaining and following up on prescriptions requests and reconciliation of prescriptions received.

**About the hospital**:
Northern Beaches Hospital is a 488-bed hospital providing care to both public and private patients. The hospital has a 50 bed Emergency Department, 14 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter labs, 4 procedural rooms and provides a comprehensive range of surgical services, critical care and intensive care services. The hospital also has Maternity, Paediatric, Renal, Cancer Care, Mental Health and Antimicrobial Stewardship services.

The Epic team at Northern Beaches is situated in the foyer of the hospital and has 32 full-time-equivalent staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our team is split between the dispensary and the wards with pharmacists providing a full clinical service to all inpatient wards of the hospital.
