**The shift is one day per week from 8.30am - 2.30pm Monday. This is an ideal position for a student wanting to gain some experience in a technician role, or a parent seeking a position that fits nicely around school hours. **The opportunity**:
We are looking for a pharmacy technician to join us onsite at the Royal Rehab in Ryde. You will work in a new centre that has state-of-the-art facilities with a vision in changing the rehabilitation and disability support landscape. You’ll partner with the hospital team and focus on delivering exceptional pharmacy services to the hospital and patients. And you’ll do it with an innovative, multidisciplinary team of connected, caring people.

Work with a collaborative team of experienced and enthusiastic pharmacists who will be sharing their knowledge and guidance, and best of all you will be supported through structured training.

**In this role, you’ll**:

- Receive, dispense, and supply medications for hospital inpatients and outpatients
- Assist in processing and maintaining imprest levels, and managing hospital ward stock
- Reconcile and manage prescriptions and patient medication discharge profiles
- Provide support to patients, carers and hospital staff
- Assist with retail ordering and reconciliation
- Assist with S2/S3 sales
- Process PBS claims and assist in producing medication profiles to hospital patients on discharge
- Confidently complete administrative and record keeping duties
- Assist with patient account enquiries

The Royal Rehab in Ryde is a private hospital working synergistically alongside NSW Health.

It is a dedicated rehabilitation hospital specialising in Brain and Spinal injuries, with longer term (months to years) admissions to deliver remarkable recovery to patients (learning to walk, talk again).

**_Eligibility Requirements:_**
- Previous experience dispensing medication
- Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
- Knowledge of S2/S3 medications
