As the **EHS Manager **based in **Clayton** **Victoria**, you will report to the Senior Regional EHS Manager ANZ and provide EHS leadership, advice, and assistance to all employees. You will improve Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices whilst developing best practices in safety and operations through inspection, audit, investigation, and corrective action.

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensures that the site meets all EHS regulatory and business-specific requirements, and flags potential non-compliances and issues.
- Lead the implementation of the site’s EHS policies, procedures, and risk management strategies, whilst collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team and multiple stakeholders.
- Help facilitate the EHS leadership team meeting at the site.
- Improve the site’s EHS Management system conformance to PPG Corporate requirements through internal audits.
- Ensure site EHS Training system and EHS training plans are in place to meet regulatory and PPG training requirements.
- Monitor and report the completion of all Injuries, Incidents, and Near Misses investigations and Root Cause Analyses conducted during monthly EHSLT meetings.
- Ensure relevant personnel is trained in the proper use of the PPG EHS global database for injury, incident, and near-miss reporting and that it is used and maintained.
- Provide technical support to PSM element owners, and recommendations based on the risks identified as part of the PHA sessions.
- Develop, drive, and manage the site Risk Assessment Program, which complies with legislative requirements (Occupational Health and Safety Act)
- Undertake regulatory and PPG reporting.
- Ensure that Corporate/Regional or local audit finding/s within their responsibilities are closed out within agreed time frames.
- Ensure that the Emergency Management Team is maintained and trained to fulfill their tasks.
- Ensure that the annual Industrial Hygiene strategy for Clayton operations is 100% completed and reviewed annually.
- Ensure Environmental compliance at the Clayton facility.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in HSE, Risk Management, Hazard Management, or similar roles.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, HSE, Risk Management, or Hazard Management.
- A working knowledge of relevant EH&S Acts, Regulations and Standards
- Experience using HAZOP, QRA, and WHATIF methodologies is a bonus.
- Demonstrated experience in Process Safety Management or practical industry experience in a process, reliability, or safety engineering disciplines is a bonus.
