We are now seeking applicants to join our Customer Experience Freight team. Aligned to the Allied Moving Services brand this opportunity is an essential leadership role for our Freight coordination team with employees in Australia and wider APAC. A new role that has become available to support continued business growth across the APAC region.

The Position:
A leadership role that’s key focus is to drive freight booking improvement & effectiveness throughout APME including Australia. You will contribute to the development of our SOP ensuring profitability & operational efficiency whilst nurturing and shaping the freight team’s culture within the Customer Experience function. Our vision is to have an upskilled team across all forms of freight movement that Allied delivers to the market and ensuring that optimal relationships with shipping companies, agents, franchises & sister companies are maintained.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring professional and congenial liaison with sister companies, franchises, partner agents, agents, Customs & Quarantine Authorities, Shipping Companies and other Commercial Entities at all times, endeavouring to assist them where possible and ensure prompt response is given to all correspondence
- Strengthen freight and shipping coordination team planning with carriers and internal SOP processes
- Management & supervision, and support for all freight bookings (FCL, LCL, Air & Groupage) for all outbound APME movements
- Tight operational control to ensure maximum efficiency and profit on shipments
- Management and supervision of the liaison with the International Sales & Pricing Team, as well Move Management Consultants to provide indicative sailing schedules to assist with the collation of International Sales Proposals.
- Management of receipt, checking/ control and payment of freight invoices. transactional day to day
- Management and supervision of the Groupage scheduling, ensuring the timely movement of the Groupage moves, maximum capacity loading and growth to all Groupage destination countries.
- Regular contact with Sales consultants as well as the International Pricing Team regarding all freight offers /opportunities to assist with the sales.
- Manage and lead a team of approximately 15 shipping/freight coordinators

Who are we looking for?
- Freight Forwarding experience across APAC is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership & people management capabilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of FCL, LCL, Air, Groupage freight products
- Effective communication style that adapts to a variety of stakeholders
- Critical thinking / strategic acumen relevant to Freight movement
