**Salary**: $134,445 - $157,080 plus superannuation

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The Manager, Psychology Administration will manage a team to perform a range of clerical and
administrative tasks in support of the Organisational Psychology and Staff Counselling teams.

The EL1 Officer will lead the Organisational Psychology and Staff Counselling support teams and be
responsible for managing and overseeing complex and sensitive work under broad direction. They will
exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role. They exercise sound
decision making and judgement to produce high level policy advice. They engage in complex problem
solving and issues management and may coordinate and undertake detailed or sensitive projects that
impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for the agency. This role will have team leader and
resource management responsibilities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**

Lead and manage the Organisational Psychology and Staff Counselling support teams.

Build team capability through coaching, mentoring, providing performance feedback, conflict

resolution and encouraging career development.

Manager responsibilities including developing and implementing work plans that provide

direction for the work area, planning and monitoring work processes and allocation of

resources to meet objectives, managing staff, setting priorities and managing workflows.

Oversee and contribute to operational compliance, including risk management and mitigation.

Oversee and manage reporting for internal and external stakeholders and assist in formal

reporting processes as required.

Oversee, manage and utilise individual and team expertise and in-depth knowledge to ensure

quality, and effective and timely delivery of services/advice.

Accountable for managing, overseeing and performing complex and sensitive work within the

Organisational Psychology and Staff Counselling support teams in line with agreed outcomes.

**EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Qualifications and/or relevant experience;
Effective organisation and prioritisation skills, strong time management and the ability to

manage a team delivering multiple concurrent projects;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Experience in developing and maintaining successful client / customer relationships and

maintain relationships at all levels; and

Knowledge and understanding of finance management.
