**The Challenge**
An essential part of realising our vision is the continuous expansion of the education market and the growth of our school client portfolio, for which we need talented and strong sales representatives. As a key member of our close-knit sales and marketing team, you will work with our sales and marketing teams in our quest to put our software in the hands of every student in Australia, to generate qualified leads and idnetify prospective customers.
**The Position**
This role is remote, however you may wish to base yourself out of our Brighton, Melbourne office at times if you choose. As a sales development representative, you will perform a key pre-sales role generating leads, peforming the following:
- Outbound phone sales targeting key customers identified as priority in conjunction with our marketing and sales teams
- Establishing the first point of contact with key prospective schools to introduce the ReadCloud software through telephone acquisition
- Generating interest, qualifying leads and arranging sales appointments (including warm handovers) with interested schools to our BDM/Sales team
- Updating and enriching prospective or target client records and opportunities in our CRM
- Researching and identifying the key contacts at prospective schools
**Things we need from you**
- Commitment to a casual role, during school hours, from 8.00am to 4.30pm each day (Monday to Friday)
- You have experience putting sales skills in practice
- Comfortable on the phone, making cold calls and establishing rapport with key contacts in target clients
- You are proactive, results oriented and thrive on energy and enthusiasm
- You love to approach people and are communicative and expressive
- Positive mindset even when finding pushback
- You are persistent and resilient, persevering to get results and overcome objections
- You have a confident appearance, a feeling for sales and you like to pick up the phone
- You are able to empathise with clients and understand their needs
- You can motivate yourself, have a hands on mentality and pull together with everyone
