**Position Information**:
Prairiewood High School is a co-educational, partially selective, comprehensive secondary school located in Wetherill Park in Sydney's South West on Dharug land. The school has a stable enrolment of approximately 1280 students. This includes 60 students in each year in the selective stream and four Support Unit (Autism and IO) classes across Years 7 to 12. 87% of students have a Language Background Other Than English (LBOTE) and students represent 30 countries of origin. Approximately 50% of the students population requires English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) support which has been steadily increasing. **Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (secondary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (secondary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
- Commitment to quality teaching and the ability to engage in differentiated classroom practice, with the ability to provide specialist assistance to students with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
- Strong organisational skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate adjusted teaching programs and assessment for students with additional learning and support needs.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and outside agencies, whilst contributing to faculty and whole school programs.
