**About the role**

We are seeking a Transactions Analyst to become an integral member of our highly skilled Corporate Finance division. Responsible for the timely completion of allocated work, you will have full ownership for your jobs, including a varied range of activities such as market research, analysis of business performance and preparation of valuation reports. You will also provide value added services to our clients and assist the team in delivering a variety of valuation engagements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reconcile management and statutory accounts.
- Perform a high level of research on the relevant business and industry.
- Complete analysis of financial and accounting data.
- Perform a high level analytical review of historical and forecast results.
- Review accounting procedures and records of acquisition targets.
- Assist with the identifying business issues within the target company.
- Assist with preparing tailored questions in relation to the due diligence of financial information.
- Review Sale and Purchase Agreements and other forms of Contracts and Agreements.
- Report findings of reviews to Managers and Directors.
- Assist with report writing, planning and formatting.
- Review external audit working papers.
- Reconcile various financial data as required.
- Project manage the due diligence process and other advisors (e.g. tax, accounting).
- Assist with preparing financial models, reporting and preparation of flyers and information memoranda.
- Assist with contract negotiation and drafting. Gain a good understanding of the nature of a client
- s business operations, needs and expectations Utilise understanding of the client
- s business to provide constructive advice to the client. Liaise with the client and follow up with client
- s enquiries promptly and accurately. Liaise with other departments within the firm to ensure that the client
- s needs are properly met.
- Identify business opportunities and bring these to the attention of the Managers or Partners.

**Key Skills and Experience**:
1-2 years
- experience gained within a transaction support practice as a financial analyst
- Commercial sensitivity and strong analytical skills.
- Proficient with MS Excel - particularly modelling and data manipulation.
- Experience working with and developing good relationships with clients.
- Demonstrated report writing skills.
- Ability to develop and present business cases stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Present professionally and possess outstanding relationship management skills.
- Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of the financial markets.
- Good time management skills and be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines for multiple clients.
