About the role:
A unique Analyst opportunity to join a high-performance team focused on continuing to support Dexus’s journey towards becoming recognised as Australasia’s leading real assets manager. The Strategy and Corporate Transactions team comprises 6-8 people who are responsible for setting the overall Dexus group strategy as well as identifying and executing corporate transaction opportunities.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced Analyst role in which you will be working across a wide range of projects across the real estate and infrastructure sectors that will meaningfully shape the future direction of Dexus. In addition to enjoying a high degree of interaction with senior leaders across the business, you will also get the opportunity to work closely with external advisors.
How will you make an impact:
As Analyst, Strategy & Corporate Transactions, the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Integral member of the annual strategy review process delivered to the Board and which sets the overall strategic direction of the business
- Direct involvement in the execution of projects that are prioritised through the strategy review process (in conjunction with other business units)
- Contribute toward the ongoing identification, evaluation and execution of opportunities to drive growth for the Dexus business. These may take the form of either:
- Evaluation of and establishment of new business opportunities
- Transaction execution (direct real estate and infrastructure assets and / or corporate M&A)
- Continuous business improvement initiatives
About You:
- Minimum tertiary degree qualification that includes an analytical discipline: Economics / Real Estate / Infrastructure / Finance / Engineering / Computer Science / Maths / Statistics
- Up to 3 years of work experience in a management consulting, finance, economics, real estate or other role that requires a strong analytical element.
- Direct work experience is not considered a limiting factor. We are focused on recruiting passionate, high-quality people who want to contribute. Recent or upcoming graduates will also be considered.
- Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Broader data analytics programmes or information technology capabilities will be viewed positively (but are not considered necessary)
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Comprehensive negotiation, mediation, conflict management and customer retention skills.
- Leadership and ability to develop a high-functioning team
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic
- High level of analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial approach with an inquiring nature
