We’re seeking an **Analyst** for our Capital & Transaction Team, where you will contribute to the function by providing financial analysis and support for real estate transactions and other strategic initiatives and opportunities. Although you’ll have a good understanding of the commercial office market in Australia, you will be supported by a small and robust team, and reports to the Transactions Manager
**Key Responsibilities**
- Financial modelling of commercial property transactions, ensuring accurate cash flow and valuation outputs
- Analysis of property information, financial data and financial model output to support commercial property transactions
- Functional, timely, concise, and accurate financial modelling and analysis of proposed transactions
- Support underwriting through liaising with internal & external stakeholders
- Identify and articulate property specific risks in underwriting (revenue, expenses and capital expenditure)
- Deliver and communicate the results of financial modelling and analysis to key stakeholders
- Undertake internal valuation analysis and prepare property and financial information
- Support preparation of investment papers, investor presentations and other presentations relating to strategic initiatives as they relate to the Capital and Transactions team
- Provide support in due diligence process for both acquisitions and disposals
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team and the wider business

**Successful Person**
- Bachelor degree in Commerce, Property Economics or related discipline
- Desirable: Masters of Finance or Chartered Financial Analyst qualification, or studying towards completion
- Building, using and/or reviewing financial models
- Financial analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Cougar or Forbury valuation software desirable
- Highly numerate and competent in financial modelling and analysis
- Strong organisation and planning skill and highly detail orientated
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Building strong working relationships within the team and with internal and external stakeholders

**Knowledge**
- Understanding of investment concepts, including cash flows and valuations
- Understanding of investment analysis and evaluation techniques
- Working knowledge of property valuation
- Working knowledge of property fundamentals and the Australian property market
