The Actuarial Analyst will be part of a team supporting Bupa’s business units by using analytical skills to contribute to a broad range of projects including pricing, financial analysis, actuarial advice, regulatory reporting, monitoring and scenario analysis. A key focus of the role is contributing to the development and enhancement of the modelling of customer lifetime value and generating insights.
**How will I help?**
- Pricing - including data sourcing and manipulation, analysis and calculations for Retail, Corporate and/or International policies
- Financial analysis and monitoring - including profitability reporting, claim analysis by claim type and preparation of reporting packs
- Actuarial advice - including analysis, calculations, and drafting of advice
- Regulatory reporting - including APRA reporting on membership and capital, Group reporting, and the Financial Condition Report
- Scenario analysis - including sensitivities, stress testing and reverse stress testing
- Financial modelling of customer lifetime value - investigating and identifying potential data sources that improve model effectiveness
- Data manipulation and feature engineering
- Model development with GLM and other modelling techniques
- Presentation of results to assist in optimising value
- Developing and communicating insights.

**What do I need?**
- Completed Actuaries Institute Part 1 (Foundation) Program
- Progressing through Part 2 (Actuary) or Part 3 (Fellowship) Programs
- Up to two years of actuarial work experience
- Skills in Excel, PowerBI (or other data visualisation software), and proficiency in coding to build predictive statistical (e.g. GLMs) or machine learning models using R, SAS, SQL and/or Python
- Strong focus on detail and accuracy
- Strong report writing and communications skills
- Track record of being able to work with non-actuaries.
