We have a new opportunity for a Commercial Specialist to join our Renewable Fuels Team. In this critical role you will be the main point of inquiry and a trusted business partner in the development and execution of contracts, as well as providing ongoing commercial and contract support to the business as we look to transition to a greener and more sustainable gas network

**What you will contribute to**:

- Working closely with the team to help prepare, negotiate and manage contracts with producers and retailers to enable the delivery of renewable fuels to consumers within a rapidly evolving regulatory environment
- Ensuring ongoing compliance to third-party contracts, managing contract variations, maintaining records, considering the effects of regulatory changes and fostering supplier relationships
- Assisting technical teams in the development of functional specifications to be included in agreements and contracts
- Working closely with our Procurement Team in market engagement, including commercial negotiations with producers and retailers during contractual negotiations
- Developing appropriate protocols and reporting mechanisms to manage and monitor contract performance and to manage and escalate non-performance as appropriate
- Working closely with the Project Controls team to identify cost or performance risks and develop appropriate mitigation and management strategies

**What you will bring**:

- The ability to work collaboratively and influence internal and external stakeholders including producers and retailers
- Experience in a commercial and contracts management, demonstrated knowledge of contract lifecycle management in a complex regulatory environment (Ideally Energy or Utilities)
- Excellent commercial negotiation skills and an ability to resolve conflicts and problems
- Proven ability to identify and proactively manage risks
