Our client is an established government agency working within the health sector. Due to continued growth and a transformation of their business model this is a great opportunity to join the team on a** contract basis **in an influential position as an **APS6 ICT Communication and Governance Specialist** that will shape the future of the organisation's cyber operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

The **APS6 ICT Communication and Governance Specialist** is responsible for:

- Creating and executing effective communication plans to ensure consistent and clear messaging within the Agency and with external stakeholders.
- Tracking and analysing communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and make improvements to processes.
- Assisting in the research, analysis, interpretation and creation of policy and procedure documentation.
- Reviewing and documenting existing ICT practices and seek improvements to ICT processes.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of the ICT Governance Framework.
- Providing guidance and support to business units on ICT Policies and cyber security matters.
- Staying up to date on emerging cyber security threats, trends, and best practices

**What you'll need to succeed**

You'll need experience within the GRC space and knowledge of relevant government security frameworks, enterprise information, cyber security processes, concepts, and best practice with an exposure to government cloud models. On top of this, you'll need to be passionate about advancing the organisation for the benefit of its clients.

**Essential Criteria**
- Experience with Australian Government governance concepts with a focus on ICT, policy/standards development, documentation of frameworks and assisting in the reporting to Senior Executive.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, able to mentor and provide expertise within a team environment and engage with internal/external stakeholders confidently.
- **Australian citizenship** and an AGSVA issued **NV1 or above security clearance**.

**Working arrangements**
- Canberra/West Melbourne location
- Subject to negotiations with line manager, hybrid working arrangements in line with current agency policy are available (minimum of 3 days each week in the office, with flexible arrangements in place for the remaining 2 days).
