About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a new opportunity for a Configuration/Data Management Lead to make a valuable contribution within our Battlespace Integrated Solutions business based at either Edinburgh, Adelaide or Melbourne CBD locations.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and a hybrid working environment.
You will be an integral member within our Wide Area Surveillance and Communications team where we maintain an existing fleet of developed radar products as well as developing the future catalogue of radar products for the export market. You will be part of an inclusive and supportive team, and will be employed on a permanent and full time basis.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead and oversee a small team of configuration management/data officers, ensuring the effective delivery of configuration management services
- Coach and support personnel, fostering a high performance culture
- Provide sound configuration management/data advice, collaborate effectively with customers, internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive work culture
- Drive culture of configuration management best practice, efficiency and continuous improvement
- Manage configuration management practices and perform configuration activities including configuration baseline management, configuration management planning, configuration audits and product identification and control
- Prepare and deliver configuration management data to the customer and manage the receipt and processing of data deliverables from stakeholders
- Identify and investigate configuration data management problems and formulate strategies for their resolution

About YOU
- Extensive data configuration management/control experience
- The ability to provide effective leadership, direction and motivation to teams
- Familiarity working in an engineering or technical environment
- Experience utilising configuration management or product lifecycle management systems
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivation, be open to new challenges, and the drive to improve current processes
