- Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
- $67,642 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super + leave loading
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 3 of the EBA5
- 76 hour fortnight
- Location: Petrie - please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location in the coming months.

Maintain the community's park infrastructure and work within our Parks Infrastructure team. Collaborating with an experienced crew leader, you'll be at the forefront of operational maintenance of Council's valuable recreational assets. Your primary responsibility will be undertaking general labouring duties to ensure your designated park areas and infrastructure assets remain safe, functional, and well-presented.

You'll be involved in maintaining various types of infrastructure including:

- playgrounds
- park furniture
- shelters
- concrete areas
- shade sails
- exercise equipment
- fences
- bollards
- retaining walls

This hands on position offers variety and the satisfaction of seeing immediate results from your efforts. You'll be engaging with stakeholders from other teams within Council and even members of the public at times - so effective communication and a positive attitude towards teamwork is a must

Your work will directly contribute to the upkeep of our park infrastructure, making a tangible difference in our community's recreational spaces.

**About you**

Ideally you will have recent experience performing labouring tasks related to maintaining infrastructure similar to what is listed above. We are seeking applicants who demonstrate:

- knowledge and physical capability to perform manual tasks safely
- recent experience in a manual position
- experience maintaining similar infrastructure/performing similar tasks (highly desirable)
- excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- a current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid)
- a Construction Induction Card
