Ditch the desk and gear up for a trade that moves mountains—literally. Civil construction is where machinery meets momentum. As a Civil Construction Apprentice with a local council, you’ll receive practical training across roadworks, plant operation and asphalt laying on projects that shape the local area. If you're physically fit, mature-minded and motivated by the work of building and maintaining essential infrastructure, this apprenticeship could be the right fit.

You'll work toward a nationally recognised qualification **Certificate III in Civil Construction**while gaining site experience with experienced teams across diverse locations.

**Some of Your Duties Will Include**:

- Operating various plant and construction equipment.
- Assisting in road construction, repairs and maintenance.
- Installing and repairing kerbs, gutters, and drainage systems.
- Laying asphalt and prepping work areas.
- Site clean-up and general labouring.
- Interpreting site plans and instructions.
- Following WHS procedures and safety protocols.
- Communicating with supervisors and contributing to a productive team environment.

**How to Get Started**:

- Hold a valid driver’s licence.
- Have a White Card or be willing to obtain one.
- Have a genuine interest in civil construction.
