Senior Project Manager Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering projects of varying complexity and scope. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify customer needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of projects from implementation to closeout, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
  • Identify and respond quickly to customer needs, facilitating effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide project management services, including the management of design consultants and construction contractors, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • A degree qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Building or Construction, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in project management, project delivery, and contract management for civil and/or building projects.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, including certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Ability to identify and document a project program and identify milestones, develop project plans, and consult with stakeholders.
  • Experienced in design development and field delivery, with the ability to identify issues, resolve them quickly, and escalate as required.
  • Ability to forecast cash flow requirements of a project and identify budget shortfalls, remedy them effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling you to engage with project stakeholders and provide regular updates.
