**About the Opportunity**

Reporting to the Deputy CFO, the Head of Infrastructure Planning is accountable for developing and managing the infrastructure masterplan (CapEx planning, critical infrastructure management), managing commercial arrangements (including contract negotiations), and managing Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) interface (for matters not relating to SSN-AUKUS Submarine Construction Yard).

In doing this, the position will contribute to leading the engagement with key internal stakeholders to develop ASC’s Infrastructure Strategic Plans for SA and WA, including aligning activities with ASC’s overall Strategy and assisting ASC to meet any relevant contractual deliverables. Working with senior leadership teams across the business, the role is required to maintain a strategic perspective of the entire business and consider a wide range of longer-term issues, opportunities and risks to ensure ongoing business success.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership to the Facilities Project Engineering team, ensuring team members are provided with direction and attainable yet challenging performance targets
- Lead direct reports to work across ASC, to support scope development and estimates for business areas to development business cases, to feed the overall infrastructure plan
- Identify potential risks to Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Program and effectively manage, track, and report as required
- Develop Infrastructure and investment frameworks to support decision making and governance arrangements while ensuring consistent work processes
- Report on the status of major project and upgrades to each site, touching on the performance and compliance of business requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with all key areas of the business to support the development of Infrastructure Strategic Plans

**About You**
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Project Management coupled with professional certifications/memberships with Engineers Australia
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience delivering technical projects within the manufacturing/construction industry
- Experience contracting and project managing design and construction work
- Ideally, specific industry experience within the Defence Shipbuilding Industry
- Knowledge of infrastructure design principles and computer aided design software
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as exceptional and effective time management, planning and organisational skills

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
