**About the role**
- Assisting residents with personal care and other activities of daily living, maintaining freedom of choice, independence, privacy and dignity
- Assists maintenance of a hygienic and safe environment for residents, visitors and staff
- Communicates effectively with all members of the team, residents and their families in delivery of resident care
- Observes residents and reports any changes in resident health or wellbeing, incidents or adverse events to the nurse in charge on shift.
- Carries out duties in accordance of scope of practice and Eastern Health’s policies and procedures. - Demonstrates attention to the needs of residents and their families in respect of their privacy and dignity

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Certificate 111 in Health Services Assistant or equivalent
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
