**About Us**:
At the Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP), each Justice Officer role specialises in one of five streams - Property, Records, Human Resources, Finance/Stores and Administration. Over time, and with appropriate support and training, Justice Officers may be rotated between these streams to provide career enhancement opportunities to those staff, and operational flexibility to the prison.
**About the Role**:
The Justice Officer is an entry-level position to a career in corporate services in the Department's eight Regions, through which the compliance, enforcement and regulatory services are provided to the Victorian community.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Providing high quality financial, procurement, stores and canteen services, in accordance with the Financial Management Act 1994, other government regulations and guidelines and MAP local operating procedures
- Preparing stock estimates, obtain quotes, organise purchases to maintain stock levels, undertake regular stock-takes, maintain accurate records and maintain the stores and prisoner canteen in good order.
- Serving prisoners in the prisoner canteen, ensure up to date records are maintained and adherence to compliance requirements.

**About You**:
- Well-developed computer literacy.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
- Experience with Oracle or similar finance related system.
- Experience with prison financial processes is desirable.
- Understanding of store and warehousing operations including associated stock management, delivery / service requirements and OHS practices.
