Ambulance Victoria occupies a unique role in the state's public health and emergency services systems. Every day, thousands of Victorians call Triple Zero (000) in a health emergency. Our commitment is to provide every patient with the right care, at the right time, whether that's a lights and sirens ambulance or a pathway to the alternative care and services they need. It's a complex, 24/7 operation, with 7,500 people working across a diverse range of roles - behind the scenes and at the front line - to support and care for our communities.
About the role
Ambulance Victoria is on a journey of cultural change. At the heart of this will be our new organisational values - fundamental to ensuring our workplace is safe, fair and inclusive. As the Manager Communications (Equality and Workplace Reform - Values Reset), you will have the opportunity to use your strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills to help ensure the successful delivery of this central initiative in Ambulance Victoria's reform agenda.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Communications for Equality and Workplace Reform, this position will develop and deliver the communication strategy and plan to support the co-design and embedding of a new set of organisational values to guide behaviours, decisions and initiatives. This program of work is a priority for the organisation and its people and is being led from the newly formed Equality and Workplace Reform Division.
**The responsibilities of this position include**:
- Develop and implement a long-term communication strategy to ensure Ambulance Victoria's values are communicated effectively across the organisation to its employees.
- Develop and implement appropriate communication frameworks, systems, policies, procedures, and reports to the organisation.
- Ensure integrated planning and delivery of best practice communication and engagement to ensure program goals are achieved.
- Support the embedding of new organisational values by driving employee engagement through meaningful communication activities.
About you
**To be considered for this position you will possess**:
- A post graduate degree or relevant industry certification (or progress toward) in a relevant discipline (communication, public relations, change management, marketing).
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience successfully delivering best practice employee communication approaches for co-designing and embedding organisational values, and the mindset shift and behavioural change that result.
- Proven success in building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships, making and influencing quality decisions and developing innovative solutions in large, complex organisations with dispersed workforces.
- Strong communication, analytical and business writing skills, with contemporary digital technology experience including capture, analysis, and presentation of data.
Working at Ambulance Victoria
As a valued employee of Ambulance Victoria, you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance. We offer salary packaging options, generous personal leave entitlements, accrued days off for full-time roles, and other benefits including free on-site parking and hybrid (home/on-site) working arrangements.
We believe our people are our greatest asset. The sustainability of our workforce depends on how well we reflect the diversity of the Victorian community and enable our people to practice and develop their skills and abilities. If you're ready to play an integral role and deliver results that make a real difference, we want to hear from you
Successful applicants need to have received the mandated COVID-19 vaccinations and be willing to complete pre-employment screening including a Police Check.
This position is graded at AV5 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement.
