The Test Room Technician is responsible for:

- Providing product test within agreed technical, time and cost constraints;
- Reporting non-conformances of product, test procedures and equipment via the quality system approved methods;
- Maintaining product test records via the approved systems;
- Observing HSE directives and maintaining a clean and safe working environment; and
- Reporting unsafe conditions in the workplace;

The Test Room Technician will contribute to:

- A timely movement of products through the test room;
- Testing of production output and field returns;
- The quality of product released from the test room;
- Reporting on test tasks in progress;
- Reporting of the cause of product fails; and
- Reporting of issues with documentation.

Skills Required:

- An understanding of the function of the tested electronic circuits in support of effective fault finding;
- An ability to be able to read electrical schematics;
- An understanding of the hazards of working with the tested product and test equipment;
- Good soldering skills;
- Basic computer skills;
- The ability to read and understand the required procedural documents;
- An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers; and
- An ability to work with others.
