**About the Role**

The Distribution Centre Manager will manage all aspects of the Distribution Centre including Safety, People, Daily Activity, Finance and Compliance while maintaining adherence to budget and maintaining a high service level across multiple shifts.

The leadership component will have a solid focus on people motivation and support, clear and effective guidance with a strong but supportive leadership, creating a good culture and content work team.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Manage 3 direct reports, provide coaching, team structure and succession planning.
- Ensure DC KPI Budget and fixed costs targets are meeting budgeted minimums but aim for Target improvements.
- Manage the Distribution of required handling units per annum in line with Service level and customer requirements as directed by your line manager.
- Conduct and monitor Continuous improvement and site planning on an ongoing basis to provide direction to the site.
- Actively review Data and Trends to provide insights to the Warehousing & VA Manager examples but not limited to Equipment Utilisation, Distribution Capability and Cost Reduction.
- Oversee the Implementation of site procedures and documentation to ensure Quality processing with mínimal wastage across the site.
- Manage contracts and suppliers to ensure best cost and service outcomes are gained.
- Ensure Chain of Responsibility and all other external compliance measures are maintained.
- Manage the relationship with the Union organisers and delegates and ensure that staff are treated fairly and provide counselling and disciplinary action where required.
- Coach support and develop your team to be leaders inline with WWG values and expectations.
- Interpret and execute overall business strategy within the warehouse with direction from your line manager.
- Ensure operating equipment is safe compliant and Team members have access to complete their Jobs.
- Actively engage with relevant stakeholders to build positive relationships and connection.

**What we’re looking for**
- Strong experience as a DC Manager role (or similar) in a large Warehouse/Distribution Centre.
- Previous experience in managing and coaching others, and a large group of employees in one location.
- Strong financial Analytical background with ability to use Excel and understand the use of a Warehouse Management System.
- Formal qualifications in Business Management / Supply Chain Desirable advantageous
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Good performance management skills and ability to resolve situations efficiently and effectively
- Accountable for decisions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use initiative to change and grow the existing business
